Lamp - Three Great Benefits
Better
Light
Think
fluorescent tubes mean poor light quality? Think again!
Starcoat® technology gives GE Ecolux® T5 lamps the best
color rendering (up to 86 CRI) and 92% maintained light output.
That means more light over life and the highest color quality
to put your business in a better light.
We've refined our technology to bring you the color quality you
need, with the long life and energy efficiency you expect from
fluorescent bulbs.
GE's special barrier coating applied on the inside of the Starcoat®
T5 Ecolux® enhances lamp life and delivers superior lumen
maintenance.
The
Starcoat® T5 Ecolux® also offers a wide range of color
temperatures 3000K - 6500K (Including 5000K) to fit your lighting
needs. At a 5000K color temperature the Starcoat® T5 Ecolux®
delivers an appealing crisp and cool "whiter" light.
The
Starcoat® T5 Ecolux® offers high lumens per watt meaning
high output and high efficiency. The more lumens per watt allows
for a brighter light and a more visible atmosphere.

Energy
Savings
Reduce
your disposal cost with TCLP compliant Ecolux®.
At 36,000 hours it lasts an impressive 80% longer than standard
T8s.
That extends the "relamping" cycle by up to four years*
for reduced lamp replacement costs and lower disposal costs.
GE Starcoat® T5 Ecolux® lamps can be used for a variety
of applications such as property management, commercial and retail
purposes and OEM's.
*
Operating 4,000 hours a year.
Environmental
-TCLP Compliant
Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) is one of the
U.S. EPA test methods that are used to characterize waste as either
hazardous or non-hazardous for the purpose of disposal.
GE Consumer & Industrial Ecolux® lamps are low in mercury,
TCLP compliant, and feature outstanding performance and reliability.
All GE Starcoat® T5 Ecolux® lamps meet all TCLP-compliance
regulations.

Lighting Tip
Since
fluorescent lamps have such a long life compared to incandescent
lamps, eventually the brightness (lumen output) of the lamp will
begin to decrease.
Because
of this, fluorescent lamps have an initial lumen rating and a
mean lumen rating. The mean lumen output is measured at 40% of
the lamp life.
NOTE:
Decorative or colored bulbs do not have a lumen rating since they
are not considered a primary source of lights, only decorative.

Lighting Quiz
Regular
fluorescent light bulbs used in your home and office do not produce
a hazardous amount of ultraviolet light (UV). Most light sources,
including fluorescent bulbs, emit a small amount of UV, but the
UV produced by fluorescent light bulbs is far less than the amount
produced by natural daylight. (Ultraviolet light rays are the
light wavelengths that can cause sunburn and skin damage.)
